The Ériu is a crew neck style which suits all. We designed this with a generous neckline and elongated cuffs, which, along with the dropped shoulder, give a slender appearance to the arm and wrist.

The side split knit in a chunky rib stitch adds a unique feature and allows the back to fall nicely.

The Cardigan

It was Ériu, the namesake of Ireland, who climbed Uisneach, the famed hill in Westmeath, and finally faced the incoming army. She was attacked by slanderous words and had to use her spell-casting skills to silence them. She negotiated with their head Druid that her tribe would recede into the interior dimensions of the land, into the hills, and allow them to take the surface plains on the condition that the land always bears her name.

Our signature Ériu yarn is made of 100% Irish wool from our own farm and our Farm to Yarn Network. It is a blend of soft and lustrous lambswool Romney and Blue-Face Leicester. The nature of this blend creates a beautiful drape and lustre, making it super soft and elegantly flowy and flattering.

Handmade by our knitters, Anne and Ann, who take exceptional care with each garment passing through their own hands. Their wealth of experience designing with luxury yarns means they know exactly how to create and knit beautiful patterns that serve the uniqueness that is our Ériu blend.

The natural antibacterial properties of pure wool mean your Ériu knitwear will require less frequent washing. Regular airing will restore freshness, and isolated stains can be spot cleaned with water and mild or organic soap, dabbing with a lint-free cloth.

Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water using a mild eco, wool-friendly detergent. Squeeze and move suds through the material without wringing or stretching the blanket. Rinse thoroughly in clean water.

Carefully remove from the water and press gently in between hands to squeeze out water. Do not wring the blanket! Finally, roll in a towel to remove further liquid.

Line dry for best results.

Do not tumble dry!
