At Ériu, we craft our woolen yarn from 100% sustainably-sourced Irish wool to create a bold, unique color palette and soft hand feel. The vibrant colors of our 100% wool yarn were inspired by the beautiful Irish landscape, as well as our nation’s rich literary heritage.

The gentle dyes used to create this yarn are part of Ériu’s tradition, going back to a simpler time when small groups of women in Ireland would gather together at their village’s spinning wheel and use natural dyes made from plants native to the area. Today we continue that tradition by selecting high-quality Irish indigo and seaweed dyes which are then hand-applied during the dye bath. By using natural dyeing methods we can guarantee that these high-quality yarns will give you outstanding performance with exceptional results every time.
